Selectron Welcomes Jami Hughes as Director of Payment Solutions

Selectron is pleased to announce the hiring of Jami Hughes in a newly created role, Director of Payment    Solutions. With her years of experience within both government and the payments industry, Jami’s wealth of knowledge will expand Selectron’s ability to provide trusted solutions and real value to our partners and customers.

Building on Selectron’s commitment to the government market and payment solutions, Jami’s responsibilities as the Director of Payment Solutions will include:

• Helping Selectron continue to develop secure payment products and solutions. Almost 30 years ago, Jami helped the State of Illinois pilot their first at-the-counter credit card payment solution for the Department of Motor Vehicles. From that single project, her portfolio has expanded to include dozens of other state departments, county and municipal institutions, colleges and universities, and technologies from IVR to web payments and more. Now Jami’s hard-earned expertise will bear fruit for Selectron’s customers, prospects and partners in solving their payment issues.

• Being the payments subject matter expert for existing customers, prospects and partners. Jami knows that a successful implementation brings all stakeholders to the table – from department staff to IT and Accounting to third-party vendors – to fully understand the payment ecosystem, and ensure the solution can meet all requirements.

• Offering helpful consultation to support our customers’ existing payment solutions. While her time and expertise are in demand, Jami still treasures one-on-one contact with customers to understand their challenges first-hand and provide the personal guidance they need to get the most value out of their payment solution.
